1/13/2009: Updated list of known issues!

Hi all--

We've received some feedback about issues that some of you are seeing with Badaboom, so we wanted to take a moment address these.

- Output files not playing on certain devices:  Some of you have reported that the output file that Badaboom produces does not play on your device.  This is an issue that we have solved and are in the midst of testing currently just to make sure everything is good to go.  We will be releasing an updated version very soon to take care of this.

- Trouble with the installation process of Badaboom 1.1:  Whether you already had version 1.0, are trying Badaboom for the first time, or activating the trial, a few of you have had a little bit of trouble.  We are taking a look at how we can make this process smoother for you and this will also be included in the updated version as well.  There are some current answers, here:  http://badaboomit.com/?q=node/222.  If you are receiving an "Access Violation" error when you attempt to launch Badaboom, please contact us (on the Contact page) and give us as many details as you can about your system and when you are getting this error.  Again, this will be addressed in the next release.

- Certain file types not working with Main Profile:  known and is being addressed.

- Audio sync problems with m2ts files:  known and is being addressed.

We will have updates when the release with these fixes will be out soon.  Thank you to all you users for your continued interest in Badaboom as we strive to make the application better and better!

Badaboom version 1.1.1 is officially released and it's recommended to update to the latest version, as many issues have been addressed, including issues relating to the PSP playback.  Check http://208.79.207.33/?q=node/299 for the list of 1.1.1 patch notes.  When transcoding videos to be played on the PSP, make sure to either use Baseline profile or Main profile with Cabac NOT checked.
